Best not plan on using the One-Horse Open Sleigh this year . . . even though the Lake South End is forecasting snow Christmas Eve, the temperature will be starting off at 36 which sounds like a very wet snow--the kind that rusts cast iron sleigh rails! The Lake's North End is calling for rain with a Christmas Eve starting temperature of 37. The whole thing sounds kind of ice-fishy to me since the Lake's North and South temperature usually differs between 3 and 4 degrees as opposed to this forecasted 1F. The whole thing appears to be a betting man's nightmare and my recommendation is that you wear boots Christmas Eve--no matter which end of the Lake you're at!
Christmas Day, everyone gets a forecast of rain, except the South End is at 40% chance of it with a Hi of 33F, while the North End is only a 10% chance of rain with a Hi of 36F. With some Irish Luck, maybe the snow on the ground can hold its own over the rain for Sunday :-).
