At the time of this writing, the SLI Handbook has not been updated yet and the Legal Committee has not yet met about the update. That apparently has not held back interest in the do's and don't's of the "Rule Book."
SLI became an independent, non-profit organization on Feb. 2, 2016, and the Handbook was scheduled to be updated. A special effort was made not to complicate the transition nor to change the basic makeup of the organization in its day to day operations.
The principle difference will be in the makeup of the Board of Trustees. The new Board will be made up of all property owners (no more church representation) in addition to a few extra Trustee seats.
The Nominations Committee has prepared a full slate of Trustees for the Annual Meeting. The new seats on the Board of Trustees will be elected on that second Saturday of July at 2 p.m. in Epworth Hall, bordered by Perry Ave., Janes Ave., and Chapman Ave.
